The Wellington Wrestling Club competed at the South Broward High School USA Wrestling Tournament on Oct. 17.  

Eric Melamed (pictured) won the championship in the 119-pound cadet division. Ryan Nilsson earned a second-place finish and Jake Ferrara, Collin Bachi and Cody Walker all placed third.

The Wellington Wrestling Club will travel to Coral Springs High School for its last off-season tournament before the high school season begins.

The Wellington Wrestling Club serves wrestlers of all ages. Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30–8 p.m. for participants in kindergarten through 8th grade and on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30–8 p.m. for students in 6th through 12th grade.
